High school recruiting updates from around the country. What a beautiful city. New stick.

According to LaxPower’s database the following players from Pittsburgh have decided to play lacrosse at the next level in 2011.

Looks like a solid crop of goalies this year in the Steel City and apparently a pipeline to Brown has been established.

Not a huge surprise Coach Tiffany’s brother coaches youth lacrosse here.

Seton Hill is doing a great job keeping in state talent. D2 money and lower admission standards certainly help them attract athletes.

Programs like St. Vincent and Washington & Jefferson are losing the recruiting battles as a result.

We are thinking about doing something like West Side Lacrosse’s Top 25 Elite players in Pittsburgh.

Some other noteworthy states and their production outputs, or examples of the game’s growth:

Florida – 23 recruits 10 D1

most prestigious program – Notre Dame

California – 28 recruits 14 D1

most prestigious program – Virginia

Texas – 20 recruits 9 D1

most prestigious program – Princeton

Illinois – 17 recruits 13 D1

most prestigious program – Syracuse

Minnesota – 11 recruits 6 D1

most prestigious program – Johns Hopkins

These states are working hard to crank out the lax.

    the dye job is pretty sweet. simple but well done. the fade work is nice. the black even looks good although I can see how you’d want Navy… the mesh? FUG. I’m having the same problem with a piece of colored mesh… no matter what I do, it stays rock hard. F that stuff. I really hope the colored marc mesh is legit. better be for $50 or whatever it costs!

    Got my marc mesh in last summer. As advertised, it breaks in instantly. But wait, it’s a trick, because then it secretly keeps breaking in over the course of the next week or two. You’ll be adjusting your shooting strings every 4 and a half seconds for awhile. But once it’s broken in, that’s that. The sidewall strings are made of adamantium and show no signs of wear, months later.

    interesting that fsu lost. mind you, it was only an indoor scrimmage, but i expected fsu to be one of the top 5 teams in the mcla this year.

    Indoor lacrosse is certainly a fickle bedfellow. Elite stick skills, cavemen
    defenders, and goalies that can’t defend a teacup net in their fat suit
    padding.

    As a former goal tender I’m surprised you have the courage to speak poorly
    of lacrosse’s current Ron Burgundy/Paul Bunyan. Perhaps your confidence
    comes from the fact that you are no longer responsible for standing between
    the cold unforgiving orange pipes.

    Hey 412, 2 days and still no talk about Michigan/Bellarmine. I though you were about the MCLA. There are tons of comments about it on Inside Lacrosse. Here in Nor Cal we talked about it all practice. I heard that Michigan Recruits, how is that? This is BS.
