You want it to be one way, but it's the other way.

Apparently we are pushing weight today like Marlo. Reaction to fall ball in Provo. Also, one of the finest post game interviews of ALL TIME. And it comes from last year’s MCLA D2 championship.

Hey, I have that shirt, buy yours here
Why would someone not on St. Thomas have the St. Thomas locker room shirt? It might have something to do with my fondness of lacrosse.
This picture deserves a Nobel Peace Prize

You’ll never mistake anyone related to 412 Lax for a mathematical genius, but I’m ALMOST positive you need 10 players to play a lacrosse game.
How both teams managed to send out 9 players for the opening draw is beyond me.
If you can’t laugh at yourself, you’re probably Chris Brown.
Post script, both players that refused to attend the lineup were the face off men.
It took only 9 years
But Warrior has finally come out with a new color scheme for their bags.

This is going on the top of the Christmas List

I want to put that in my roommate’s bedroom, then wake him up.

Curious About Provo

This is a quote from Lacrosse Magazine’s coverage of Lamb’s dismissal.
“These and other reasons have added up to Lee’s final decision, I assume, but in the end it has come down to my unwillingness to alter my vision for the program with regards to his vision for the Extramural Sports Department on a whole,” wrote Lamb.
So Lamb and the director didn’t see eye to eye. People disagree with their boss. Happens all the time.
412 Lax wants to know, what changes have been made in the wake of Lamb’s dismissal?
Lamb was working towards (hoping for) BYU making the jump to the NCAA Division 1 lacrosse. Nothing wrong with that goal on his end. Nothing wrong with the school saying we aren’t in a position to make that financial leap. Nothing wrong with the school reminding Lamb and the program that they are a club sport and to remember that fact.
But nothing has changed, which is bittersweet if you’re a BYU fan.
One hand, you’re thinking great, we were assured the program would continue to be an MCLA elite and it has.
One the other hand, you’re thinking, if nothing has changed, why was Lamb really let go?
Look at what has happened at BYU this fall.
Slick new website with a ton of multimedia features.
They participated in eleven scrimmages this fall. Traveling for three events, one of which was the Best of the West tournament in Las Vegas. Some MCLA teams don’t play 11 games in the spring time.
Podcasts with Tom Campbell are running again.
Unless you look at the staff section of the website, from the outside looking in, nothing has changed.
What changes as Director Lee implemented? Is the school not paying for as much as they previously paid for?
If so, then how is BYU stilling running like a Lexus? Maybe the alumni have stepped up financially, that’s a logical answer.
But if Director Lee was worried about the direction a club team was taking on and off the field outside of the financial aspect, e.g. time commitment, there haven’t been any changes to that end. This might be the busiest fall ball season they’ve ever had, however without seeing the spring schedule we might be standing on our jump to conclusions mat.
We might be, but I don’t think we are for this simple reason.
Fall ball is meaningless. No one cares about the scores or playing time. Its a practice run for the spring. It’s a small slice of what’s to come in the spring.
Practice time increases in the spring. There is more travel in the spring. No team has ever done less in the regular season than they did in the off season.
So what is really going on in Provo?
Why was Lamb really let go?
The changes that were suggested haven’t been made.
Patagonia Options

“Patagonia is a very New Englandy brand,” thus spoke Zarathustra.
If its a New Englandy brand chances are lacrosse players are fans.
I’ve seen two people ever wear this jacket. I feel in love with one of them and the other was also the owner of the worst dyed stick in the history of modern fan. Fashion, on field and off, is a fickle mistress.
Who is buying this wooly mammoth fur coat for $195?
