Shades of Blue?

Buffalo and Sonoma drop by with new wares.

Gear. Gear. Gear. Gear. And, gear.

Buffalo Practice Shorts

We assume practice shorts. Nice hat tip to the region’s brutal weather conditions.

Thanks to Michael Caggiano for the  heads up. The only thing better than the shorts is the wild life print in the background.

Oh Sonoma

The Sea Wolves are a 412 favorite because as a recently as 2010 they had no idea what shades of blue they wanted to support. In 2009, they went with royal, navy, and baby/Carolina blue. Probably more offensive due to the current and elder Riddell helmets.

MCLA lax

In 2010, they continued their indecisiveness, but updated their lid protection scheme.

Navy shorts with royal blue numbers and navy and baby/carolina blue helmets. Sheesh. What university in the universe goes with three shades of the same color? Perhaps in the 2011, they have settle down and dropped royal blue. Here’s a photo from fall ball.

According to Wikipedia, the most trusted news source in the world, “The official colors of the university are navy blue and columbia blue.” Here’s hoping they’ve figured out their own school colors for 2011. Trying to place a wager? Consider their team gloves for the new season.

STX lacrosse

What is it about Sonoma State and their aversion to new STX gloves? The only thing worse than getting on the bandwagon is getting on the bandwagon a year later. Here’s hoping they’ve dropped royal blue from their uniforms, helmets, water bottles, and blankets entirely.

What is this? A center for ants?

This mouth piece has been out for a little over a year now, but it seems like its been making its rounds only recently most notably with Auburn football and several hockey players.

UA mouthguard

When Penguins center iceman scored the other night he flashed a tainted smile which caused this reaction on our part.

Hockey players have bad teeth. It’s one of the perks of playing the sport. But their poor chompers are usually broken and chipped, not stained. Why would UA frame their logo in yellow? If it’s a great mouthguard and they were paying us to wear it, sure we’d wear it but we’d definitely be phoning UA with our demands for a new background. We work too hard for your bull, Chip!

Super cool commercial

Notes

IU resumes practice tonight in the more reasonable 10pm time slot

Hockey vs. lacrosse, which game features more technical stick handling?

Anne Hathaway is the new Catwoman? Would have preferred Emmy Rossum, but Tom Hardy as Bane is perfect.

I dont know what it is about NOMA but they seriously order all there gear a year later. The G22 in 09/10? Common, and now the K18′s in11? I remmber they were sporting shoguns in 07/08. I know its club but this is a PREMIER club. Just saying…just sayin

They’re all about it though. They’re self-labeled as blue collar.

i have the original under armour mouthguard, which was made by a company known as EDGE. the mouthguard is fantastic, but it is not the upper mouthguard which is ingenious, it is the lower, performance mouthguard which makes an impact on play. both are comfortable and professionally fit.
