We asked our Facebook fans to comment on BYU’s new uniforms. Their responses after the jump. Not surprisingly, some readers took shots at the close score of the game or BYU’s religious affiliation.

(We think they could have used “Cougars” or “Bringham Young” on the chest to break up the whiteness. They seem very long as well but otherwise we enjoy the stripes.)

    Clean and simple is in this year. From single colored gloves to single colored uniforms.  I think sticks, helmets and cleats will be this year’s flash.

    This is coming from a former University of Utah player, and professional cougar hater. At the game today I turned to a friend and said, “I hate that I like BYU’s uniforms so much. That’s going to bother me for a while.”

    Extremely Preppy but it’s not a bad thing at all.  Those gloves look good as well. 

    All ProLookSports Lacrosse Jerseys are longer than your average Nike Jersey.

    And no one brings up the score of the game? This is why there is no legitimacy to the MCLA. The focus is 100% on gear and uni’s, and people ignore the actual games. I like gear too, I get that this blog is based on fashion (or lack there of), but for the love of God, bring up the fact that the defending national champs barely beat a team that won’t even make the SLC playoffs.

    Oh child, it’s MATTE black not FLAT black…. BYU is going back to basic, ironically it’s quite refreshing. It may not have the flash of Oregon or Michigan (opps, not MCLA team anymore) but well executed.

    Gear does not matter… You can have to best gear out and have the best looking uniforms and lose every game. I never understood why a team needs to look good while playing. I think playing great looks better than looking good in what your wearing…Your not trying to win a fashion show

    How is it reflecting the legitimacy of MCLA, your logic doesn’t make any sense…That’s why there’s “MCLA Fan” blog on LAS network as well, it’s the same coverage for gears here as for NCAA. There are plenty of room to discuss about that on MCLA Fan blog, people comes here on 412 to read about gears related post.

    the all whites are nice, but the real beauty of the uniforms this year is that they look fantastic when not worn all white or all blue.  examples of both looks attached.
