Quint Kessenich Reporting UVA’s Season is Over, Updated
Always a good idea to report news that contradicts what the school’s athletic director says.
World class journalist, goalie, and sideline reporter for mid week college football games decided to inform STX that UVA canceled the season for both the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams in light of the terrible events of this past weekend.
The news was posted on STX’s Facebook page citing Quint as the source.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Quint did not text STX. He tweeted the news and STX reported it.
If we learned anything from the Duke scandal its that we should have patience before we throw a human being, an entire team, and an entire university under the bus.
Apparently Quint decided he didn’t learn anything from that experience and personally canceled the season of not one but two lacrosse teams.
Wonder if he would have come out with such an announcement if this had happened at Hopkins.
According to a legitimate media outlet, Sports Illustrated begs to differ with Quint’s assessment.
They write:
When asked how the death would affect the upcoming tournament, athletics director Craig Littlepage said it was “not even entering into our thoughts” but that for the players’ sake they wanted to “try to get back to some things that are normal.”
