Open Post: Hosted by Michigan’s John Paul
Video interview discussing the jump to Division 1.
What an incredible day for lacrosse.
Congratulations to Coach Paul for his effort and showing us that impossible is nothing. If all programs strive to be like Michigan, the sky is the limit for the MCLA and the growth of the game.
Two facts that we know about the future of Michigan lacrosse.
1) They already have home and homes scheduled with Hopkins and Navy.
2) Boosters are funding the program for the first 5 years of the team’s existence.
Bonus thought: If Coach Petro wasn’t going to leave Hopkins for Penn State, a team a year or two away, he’s not going to leave for Michigan, a program that is at least 4 years away. Fact 2 leads me to believe that the Michigan administration will reward Coach Paul with the head coaching position because without his fundraising efforts this jump would not be possible. If he’s not named the head coach, it will be an outrage.
