Miami Heat of Lax

What if the super powers united in the lacrosse world? Checking in on the MLL, NCAA D1, and MCLA equivalents of the Big 3.
I confess I really dislike the NBA. I’ll watch dunk highlights on Sportscenter but I generally don’t turn it on until the NBA Finals to see how Kobe plays.
Given the events of the summer, that attitude has gone right out the window. I’ve been watching every Heat game in awe and wonder. Are they going to win by 40? Are they going to blow another 20 point game? How long is Coach Eric going to last if they don’t win ten in a row? Fascinating stuff. Eventually I considered the notion of the Heat in lacrosse.
What if three of the top players in the league joined each other on one team? The results of those findings are below.
Quick Rule: Kobe is the best player in the league. He’s not on the Heat so we’ll eliminate the best player in the league from each division for this argument. And, we are just going to do three offensive players since they don’t really play defense in the NBA until the fourth quarter of playoff games anyway.
MLL
Best player in the league: Paul Rabil
Sure, a former D3 player absolutely blanked him in the semifinals, but Rabil just bought a sleeping chamber, so I wouldn’t want anything to do with the World Games MVP in 2011.
Miami Heat: Matt Danowski, John Grant Jr, and Kyle Dixon
With Danowski creating, he could find the elder statesman on the crease or Dixon for two. Two of the best attackmen ever and one of the best middies ever…nightmare scenario.
NCAA DIVISION 1
Best player in the league: Robert Pannell
Pannell? Yes of course. He has no help at Cornell and he’s still unstoppable.
Miami Heat: Kevin Crowley, Steele Stanwick, Shamel Bratton
Combine a former Tewarraton nominee in Crowley, who tried his best to carry Stony Brook into the final four with the two best players from the opposition in Sham Wow and Stanwick and you wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if you were a defensive coordinator.
MCLA
Best player in the league: Trevor Yealy
590 goals in three years. 412 native. Three rings to back it up. Game over.
Miami Heat: Ryan Westfall, Cooper Kehoe, James Blackburn
Cooper Kehoe is the Colorado State offense. James Blackburn is the Colorado Buffalo offense. Ryan Westfall is the Arizona State offense. I wonder if they could share the ball. How’s that working in Miami?
Who would your Miami Heat teams be?
@ConnorWilsonLAS Division 3 super friends list would look like this:
Best player in the league: Jimmy Dailey
Miami Heat: DJ Hessler, Richie Ford, Sam Bradman
Bet.
