Gait Custom Explosion

Gait’s Facebook page exploded today.

Hartford Dakota Gloves

Queen’s Dakota Gloves

Virginia Dakota Gloves

Virginia Custom SC55 Shaft

Lindenwood Recon Gloves

That shaft isn’t as wild as what Warrior and STX have done but it’s progress. These “smaller” companies have to be willing to give their top teams the same treatment Warrior/STX/Brine gives otherwise they risk being replaced.

Gait really gets into trouble with navy gloves because of the black knuckles and black trapezoid-esque shape on the top of the hand. Is it as big of a problem for you as it is for us? We find the white/red Hartford gloves to be far more enjoyable than the navy and gold Queen’s editions. Maybe that’s just the Indiana red/crimson/cardinal coming out.

Gait started using their Facebook page correctly though so that’s a step in the right direction for the St. Louis based company.

(Who on Earth is that well dressed, semi mulleted man in the last GIF? Looks like a British comedy show character.)

If you could customize the black, these would all be phenomenal. But those recons are the most comfortable gloves i’ve ever worn, although they’re really small. Sucks for those with large hands. Never would have thought I’d stray from brine….

Lindenwood unfortunately took a huge downgrade from their Assaults, which are one of my favorite gloves.

I just can’t get over how bad the plastic looks on those Dakota gloves, it looks like one check would pop the knuckles off.

Is it just me or are the cuffs on these Gait gloves (and the Maverik gloves for that matter) super short?  Back in the day, you’d appreciate a good-sized cuff which you could keep loose for mobility but would still offer protection.  Do today’s arm guards come down lower than before?  This glove pretty much comes to a stop at the bottom of the palm.  One of the many reasons I prefer STX gloves.

In case the last question was a genuine question, that is Matt Berry, from Garth Merenghi’s Darkplace fame (a show, which I can highly recommend. Absurdist British comedy).

If not, well, then at least I got to mention Garth Merenghi’s Darkplace (and Snuff Box!)
