Duke and Loyola Triumphs

Two days ago, we asked if the Brine Triumphs were the ugliest gloves of 2012. Yesterday, Duke and Loyola received their Triumphs.

Are they the ugliest gloves of 2012? The nail polish isn’t doing much help to sway us in the other direction but maybe we’ve just been tainted by the one color glove phenomenon. (We’ve also been losing our patience with the lack of an online customizer from the Brine/Warrior camp.)

Can you spot the differences between the stock Triumphs and the custom jobs?

How subtle is the bit of grey on the Loyola editions?

adidas Canada will be the official soft goods supplier for the Canadian U-19 team. This fall we were told Notre Dame and Michigan can’t get new uniforms because adidas is such a mess. Wonder what kind of uniforms the Canadians will be wearing in Finland.

Gait signed on with Canada as well. One of their marketing managers told me you can expect a new website from Gait shortly featuring a glove designer. And, they will have a new glove ready for 2013. Things appear to be changing for Gait now that they are under the Rawlings banner.

IN MORE IMPORTANT NEWS! We’ve got a recruit on campus tomorrow from Connecticut and possibly another coming down from Chicago. On top of that, we have an offensive walk through/stick work session Saturday night. Don’t forget the Team USA Denver scrimmage Sunday and you’re looking at a packed weekend.

Prepare for a stunning post about Messiah soccer and a letter former Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman wrote to high school coaches after he was let go.

Gait has been under the Rawlings banner for some years now. Gait/DeBeer/Worth were all purchased by Rawlings as a group. They’ve taken some time to get their house in order. It seems as though things are finally moving forward. Don’t look for them to do anything quickly.

$100+ gloves that look like you should have paid $15 and given them to a 5th grader for his first pair
